Zapya is a peer-to-peer file sharing app. While the app was initially conceived for the Chinese market, it has spread to neighbouring countries such as Myanmar, Pakistan, and India and is available across multiple operating systems.
The primary goal was to deliver and execute a strategy that could bring down the cost of user acquisition and expand the horizons from China to other suitable markets.
After getting a approval on strategy the team at Delta Labz was hungry to prove its mettle. We were fighting on many fronts like high uninstall rates for the app, Bad ratings and expensive cost per install without measuring the quality of the install. We gave a few product suggestions for the market outside China including India, revamped the overall spending arch and completely revamped the ASO and social strategy for them. Which helped us achieve 28 million users on Google Play with an average rating of 4.5 with 50% users coming organically and at a very nominal uninstall rate, the cost of acquiring a new user was reduced by 68%.
